About Me...

I was 14 when my family gave me my first set of clubs and a membership. Since then I’ve always had the ability to play to a high standard. Winner or runner-up positions in Opens, Club Competitions and Professional Tournaments just seem to magically appear so my addiction to golf never ends – even after the occasional indifferent round!

On leaving school in 1996 I started my career as a shop assistant at North Weald GC. With inspirational guidance from 3 very individual Pros, I gradually progressed to Assistant Professional. I gained qualifications in Business Management including IT, Sports Science, Rules of Golf, Coaching (to advanced level and also focusing on Children in Golf), Club Repairs and First Aid. The end result was a Golf degree, my fully qualified PGA status and the Head Professional’s role. The opportunity to become Head Pro at Manor of Groves came along in August 2006. All that hard work has definitely been worth it.

It’s still important to keep learning but, for relaxation, I love watching and playing other sports, listening to music and I’m currently learning Spanish.

I’m so passionate about this fabulous game of ours. Every day is different. Golfers are always seeking the perfect swing or that one superb shot so teaching and sharing in the joy of success means everything to me.
